I've finally found Internet though have been far too busy.
Great place is Udon Thani and all so stayed in a village out in the sticks overlooking the Mekong River and Laos. Was fantastic except getting chased by a pack of dogs -
luckily the missus was braver than me and got rid of them
Hope all is well with you guys.
Bloody hell Rob you dont hang about! but i thought mail order brides were delivered

Well i'm all refreshed after a nice relaxing break, with practically my entire family, in the countryside of North Devon. And we had great weather, which is always a bonus.
It was a bit like visiting another world mind you, what with the signs saying '3 miles' actually meaning 10 miles - being woken in the night by the sound of geese, rather than p*ssed up people staggering home - not one single Tesco Express in sight - and the question 'where is the nearest cashpoint?' being greeted with vacant and confused looks.
As always though, i could of done with a few more days away.

Moved hotel yesterday to a more upmarket place with a swimming pool - now I'm like a lobster.
Raining today but in general been hot and sunny. The cyclone in Burma didn't affect where I am or the Chinese earthquake.
Getting into the Thai food here but some of it is far too hot - much hotter than Indian food.
Traveled out to a village with Thai Girlfriend and got blessed by Thailand's version of mystic Meg.
Loving it out here. Tomorrow will watch Cardiff City win the FA Cup in a local park that has a huge screen.

Yeah, it was great thanks Red - four generations of the family enjoying each others company, without anyone tearing anyones eyes out!
I have no kids myself at present. They are on my 'jobs to do list', but i'm in no rush. Although my 9 year old niece keeps reminding me that i'm getting 'old' (32 in June) and should have kids sooner rather than later - - I'm sure my Mum has my niece on her payroll!.

Glad you having fun Rob. I just pray that you are not so happy tomorrow after the football!
The tension is getting to me now, i'm gonna be a real mess tomorrow. But i will wish Good Luck to Cardiff - I will just be wishing more luck to Pompey!
Here's to a great, trouble free, respectful, action-packed game - whoever wins!

Good luck today, Shy. Will be 9 o'clock local time here.
I just hope Pompey don't give us a thrashing.

Yeh I know what you mean Gomez but I've officially retired from night clubbing - belly is too big.
Have been to Thailand before and done the bar hopping - time to just get a takeaway and settledown.
Going to British Embassey in Bangkok tomorrow to get confirmation that I am free to marry in Thailand.

Sounds intriguing - have i missed something?
I must send my commiserations re the football Rob. Obviously i am still on cloud 9 re the Pompey win (and still in some degree of shock), but have to admit i was never confident that we would keep that one goal advantage, which made watching the rest of the match unbearable. I know it's cliche, but it really could have gone either way.
Both the Cardiff and Pompey fans did themselves proud in the end, which was nice to see, especially after all the trouble after the Rangers match. I don't think any of the big clubs supporters could've made any more noise in that stadium than the Pompey and Cardiff fans did on Saturday!

Alright Shy,
Not getting married just yet - must be the air over here.
I watched the FA Cup Final in a bar where I was the only customer but the staff all knew there football and as I bought a round they were all pro Cardiff. Even the Thai Girlfriend was screaming when Cardiff went close. Entertaining game and attacking stuff. Gutted Cardiff lost but while they played nice football and attacked they lacked a true striker.
Great win for Pompey - well done.

Cheers Rob. The rumour mill has begun to grind already, re possible new signings for Pompey, and at least now we are gonna be in Europe there is a great big carrot for some of those top of 'Arry's list.
And it sounds like you still having a great time over there - will you even wanna come back at this rate?

With Harry's skills and now being in Europe along with having some financial clout - I can see Pompey adding well to their already strong squad.
Unfortunately for me arrived back home about 1 hour ago. Flights were ok apart from the Amsterdam to Cardiff which was like a bloody rollercoaster. Have tomorrow off for the Queens Birthday so will goto to local Club and sink a few British beers.
I don't have a great suntan though was like a pint of milk when I went over and I'm covered in Mosquito bites. 5 months is the plan to get everything into gear and get back out to Thailand.
Was fantastic seeing a part of Thailand that is not on the tourist trail and really got a feel of the culture there and the food while hot is very nice. Didn't see a McDonalds there either which was a surprise.

Glad you're back safe an sound (apart from the mozzy bites). I have that problem too when i go abroad, mozzy's seem to like me for some reason - maybe it's cos i'm very fair skinned too, perhaps our fair skin glows like a neon sign saying 'free meal here'.
